  2. Activities week 51 • Not mentioning access for visual inspections • AD will not restart in January 2013 • LEIR there are no interventions foreseen

  3. PSB • Replace gap relay C16 Ring 2 (RF) • Tunnel ventilation preventive maintenance (CV) • Preparation for LS1 beam stopper consolidation (STI) • Lift maintenance (HE) • Lighting maintenance in technical areas (EL) • Add RADFET monitors at the beam dump (STI) • Test BT-UES30 head amplifier (BI) • Install Ethernet cables (IT)

PS • Installation 4 temporary sextupoles and 1 dipole (MSC/ABP/EL) • Associated cabling • Temporary reconfiguration of power converters • Replace amplifier FT16 BCT (BI) • Maintenance rack cooling (CV) • Re-install 40MHz amplifier (RF) • Add RADFET monitors sections 15 & 77, FT16 (STI) • Prepare for cooling system for Christmas standby period (CV) • Repair transverse feedback pick-ups SS02 & SS98 (BI) • Install Ethernet cables and reconfigure star-point 354 (IT) • Measurements of crane geometry (HE)

SPS • 83 IMPACT requests • Preparation visits for LS1 works • Lift maintenance and repairs from the November floods. • RP 30hrs survey • Repair of magnet QD21310 (change if needed) • Upgrade of the access scada system. (Monday morning) • EPC Powering tests of the SPS Mains to validate the Quadrupolethyristor bridges. (Thursday afternoon) • Tests and possible modification of the MSE6183 and MSE4183 converters in order to decrease the peak-peak current Ripple • Temporary cutting of power to electrical racks for TETRA project. • Installation of Fibre Optic cables from the Starpoint to the Faraday cages in BA1 (surface works)

  6. When the SPS will be open during week 51 • Monday:SPS remains closed all day. • Upgrade to the Access Scada system in the morning (All access will be blocked) • lift maintenance starts in the afternoon after the access modifications are complete. • Surface works can be done • Tuesday: SPS remains closed except the following: • Surface works • Lift maintenance. • Access to BA5 granted from 08:00 • RP 30hr Survey from 12:00 (access via BA3) • Magnet repair team in BA2 from 14:00 (access via BA3) • Wednesday: Access all day. The magnet in BA2 will be replaced on this day if the repair on Tuesday is unsuccessful. • Thursday:Access from 8am until 3pm. EPC powering tests starting at 3pm require the tunnel to be closed. • Friday: Access until 16:00. OP will do the ring patrols from 16:00hrs. SPS goes into “STAND-BY” mode for the Christmas vacation. (No planned access during this period)
