  1. Cisco Integrated Systemfor Microsoft Azure Stack M5 Hybrid or All-Flash: Sizing and Order Process Guide May 16, 2019 Version 1.7

  2. Azure Stack Solution Status • M5 All-Flash storage systems are Generally Available today. • M5 Hybrid systems are Generally Available today.

  3. Azure Stack: How to Quote Summary? • Things to Know • Azure Stack is sold as an appliance • You cannot reuse existing equipment. CANNOT mix/match M4 and M5 server nodes. M5 All-Flash and Hybrid nodes cannot be in the same cluster. • Cisco Advanced Services Installation and Solution Support are mandatory and included in the quote • A fixed priced SKU (ASF-DCV1-G-AZRINST) is now in all BOM for Azure Stack. • A Statement of Work (SOW) is NOT required. • Discount restricted to no more then 10% discount off list price. • Microsoft Azure Stack is not available in all countries – this is a Microsoft restriction – so there is a compliance hold to check that the country where the installation is to take place is supported by Microsoft. If installation to be in a non-supported country, if may be possible to request an exception. Please send a e-mail to John McAbel, jmcabel@cisco.com • Cisco Solutions Support is required and configs have 12 month 24 X 7 X4 as default. Sales can adjust this 24 or 36+ months etc. A term of less than 12 months is not supported.

  4. Azure Stack: How to Quote Summary? • How to quote: • In CCW, choose either the Config-to-order bundle and select either the Hybrid or All Flash storage option • If “Config to order” bundle is selected, configure the • Number of nodes • Type of processor – up to 14 choices • Memory size – 384GB up 1536GB • Configure the storage capacity per server • Hybrid storage capacity/node – 32TB, 64TB, 96TB,120TB • All-Flash storage capacity/node - 30TB, 45TB, 60TB, 121.6TB • All orders are placed on Compliance Hold. To Clear Compliance Hold SAC checks: • MSFT Country Support • Cisco AS – not discounted more then 10% • Cisco Solution Support on all System Components (Nexus 9336, Nexus 2232, FI 6332, C240 M5L or M5sx) • “Deal ID” flagged as Azure Stack • Note this process take 48-72 hours to complete

  5. Accelerated Time to Value From concept to operations in days, not months Help developers be productive faster Enriched Lifecycle Management Greater quality and system reliability Focus on delivering Azure services, not operations Cisco Integrated System For Microsoft Azure Stack Continuous Innovation • Newest services and fastest updates • No disruption to tenant availability or experience

  6. Cisco Azure Stack – Supply Chain Breakdown • The Cisco Azure Stack solution is composed of products from three separate business units. Each business unit (BU) ships their portion of the order and there is not a coordination point across each order. Therefore, sales/partners must check the dates for all items to ensure all components have shipped. • A Supply Chain order escalation, requires a separate request to each BU effected: These are: • CSPG (DCBG) BU • Nexus BU • TMG BU

  7. How To Size Azure Stack System Based on the number of VM that the customer is forecasting to run over time. • Do: • Educate customer on Azure VM sizings • Discuss which workloads fit each VM size • Factor in the growth rate and add 10% • Be sure the customer understands current Microsoft scalability limitations • Use the table on the following chart to evaluate config options • Do Not: • Blindly match a competitor’s configuration (Dell only sells in 4-node blocks) • Ask what the partner is basing their sizing upon  • Guess • Try to install a system in a country not on Microsoft’s approved list of counties without first getting an exception approved before order placed. Microsoft Azure VM Sizing Detail located at: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/windows/sizes-general

  8. Sizing Assistance You have a choice: 1.) Go for it, and use sizing spreadsheet in Azure Stack Sales Briefcase: https://salesconnect.cisco.com/open.html?b=P01180590 2.) Ask your local pre-sales specialist: azurestack-jedi@cisco.com 3.) Contact TSN for assistance: tsn-request@cisco.com

  10. Azure Stack on Cisco UCS – A Complete Solution What are the key sales decision points for the fixed BOMs? • Sales Rep Order Entry Decisions: • Select (1): Config to order (CTO), • CTO BOM • Select the number of nodes, 4 min, 16 max, any # in between • Choose processor (16 choices) • Choose memory amount (384, 512, 768, 1024,1536GB) • Choose storage capacity • Regardless of the selected BOM, configure Solution Support “SOLN SUPP 24x7x4OS(SC4P) (1 of 4 options)” for Nexus 9K and Nexus 2K – minimum 12 months (or the highest level that is supported in your country) • Add Fabric Interconnect (FI) licenses as required for the number of nodes – identified in warning message • Items that sales cannot do: • Remove or discount greater then 10% the Cisco AS installation service • Remove Cisco Solution Support from any component, default is 12 month term of 24 hour x 7 day x 4 hour response time • Attempt to remove: • Nexus 9336C-FX2 • Nexus 2K FEX • Fabric Interconnects • Remember: • This solution is a fixed BOM that matches the configurations tested and certified for Azure Stack. Flexibility outside of what is allowed within the CCW rules is not allowed or supported. 11. Cisco Integrated System for Microsoft Azure Stack Microsoft Scaling Limitation • Microsoft Code Limitation: • Add a node to a Scale Unit (Cluster) - Supported with 1807 Azure Stack version. • 16 node scalability – Now available starting with 1809 Azure Stack version • Multi Scale Unit in single region – TBD. • No Multi-Region support, MSFT lists on roadmap but no ETA • Limits apply to ALL server vendors • Cisco Flexible Provisioning: • Financing options to overcome a financial objection!

  38. Server Alternative to Deployment Laptop

  39. Alternate Deployment Option for MSFT Azure StackIdeal for Secure Datacenters Where Laptop Considered Unsecure Purpose: Government customers and others using highly secure datacenters can specify that any server that enters their datacenter must remain. Furthermore, some customers are not comfortable with a laptop as a secure device to hold software for its deployment. To address this concern, Cisco can offer an inexpensive C220 M5 server. Alternate Deployment Option (minimum config) • Key points: • C220 M5 used to hold the Azure Stack infrastructure software until installation team performs an Azure Stack installation at the customer’s location • The server would be connected to the ToR of the BOM • After Azure Stack installation, the C220 M5 will be disconnected from ToR. • C220 M5 can be re-purposed by the customer for a non-Azure Stack use • This alternate deployment option is NOT a Hardware Lifecycle Host (HLH) as competition requires. An HLH hosts the system management software on-going. List Price USD $8,038.75 UCS C220 M5 SFF • 1 x Intel Xeon Scalable 1.7 GHz 6-core proc • 16GB DDR4 Memory • 240 GB SATA • 1050W AC Power Supply • TPM 2.0 • 12 month support (24 x 7 x 4) Config details on next slide. Customer will be responsible for loading the Windows OS on the deployment host and managing its life cycle.

More countries will be added to this list over time but Microsoft has not provided a schedule as to when that will occur. Countries highlighted in yellow are supported by Microsoft. Cisco will require 2-3 months to ensure hardware support can meet customer’s expectations. Please inform jmcabel@cisco.com and shridarc@cisco.com if you have an opportunity in one of these countries.
