  2. Information 1. They are Omnivores which means they eat birds, insects, fish, shrew, moles and lots of fruit. 2. Racoon Dogs are found near water where most of their prey is found. 3. Even though the Racoon Dog looks like a racoon it is closer related to small domestic dogs. 4. They look like a chubby racoon but they have a thicker coat. 5. They do not bark like dogs or foxes instead growl. 6. Raccoon dogs feed on game bird eggs and chicks during the spring period. 7. Raccoon dogs are typically hunted from November until the snow deepens. 8. Raccoon dogs are killed for their meat and calcined bones are a valuable medicine. 9. Raccoon dogs carry 32 different parasitic worms. 10. Wolves mainly hunt Racoon Dogs in the Summer and the Spring.
