  1. To determine if their DCPDS is not working, have them login normally. If after they select their NON-Email Name on this certificate page and it goes straight to the following screen shots, then continue for fix.

  2. Either this page (or the next slide page) will display right after they select their certificate name (And they may be prompted to input their PIN if they haven't entered the pin in the past five minutes or so.)

  3. Or sometimes this page will display This same fix will fix either issue.

  4. First make sure the user closes out of EVERY single Internet Explorer window No Admin is needed. Go to start, then in the search box type “certmgr.msc” and hit enter. (This only works with Microsoft Vista, and user must have the normal vista start menu activated)

  5. Now click Action, then find certificates.

  6. You must change the ‘look in field’ from “Issued By” to “Issued To”

  7. Now search for “entrust”

  8. This is the only certificate you need to deleted to get DCPDS working on this users profile. Right click and delete. Note: It is very rare, but maybe 1 in 50 people will have to reboot the computer after deleting the certificate (I have them reboot, and verify the entrust certificate is gone). Or the user is not allowed to delete the certificate because it is “in use” they will have to reboot so the certificate is ‘released’ and can be deleted.

  9. Now the user can open a brand new Internet Explorer window and try the website again. It will take longer (about 30 to 90 extra seconds) to get into the website, because it has to ‘rebuild’ the certificate that you just deleted. Now user can successfully login. If still no success, Have user reboot the machine, and make sure the certificate is gone and then try again. Also verify the user has Java installed, by going to Java.com, and clicking on “Do I have Java?” Then “Verify Java version.”
