Towards NAIADES II • Staff working document results out of a process of strong engagement with stakeholders through various consultation meetings and internet consultation • Staff working paper of 31 May 2012 sets out steps towards NAIADES II Package of Communication with legislative proposals • Reviews and orients NAIADES I policy actions towards preparing NAIADES II • Continuity between NAIADES I and II

  4. NAIADES Policy evaluation • Necessary to make more use of inland navigation • Concern on relative decline in economic and sustainability terms • Need to refocus
