  1. NCCCS Phase 2b Conversion Meeting

  2. Conversions What takes place during a conversion? • Create an extract data file on the IIPS system (SCP-2512) • FTP the extract file to the Colleague box • Create an intermediate file on Colleague box (STII) • Intermediate file is imported into Colleague (ITCI)

  3. Colleague Accounts Colconv • Used to run a small data sample on each conversion • Main purpose of this account is to verify the conversion is setup correctly prior to running in Coltest or Collive

  4. Colleague Accounts Coltest • Used to run a subset of data that will be used in testing and training • Errors identified during conversions will allow data cleanup in preparation for later conversion into Collive

  5. Colleague Accounts Collive • All conversions will be run in their entirety • Additional errors corrected

  6. STII (Source to Intermediate Import) • STII checks data (translate tables, Valcodes, Codefiles) to determine if it is clean and ready for converting and/or importing into Colleague • If clean, STII places the places data into an intermediate database (i.e. holding area) • STII can be run in non-update and update mode • Errors generated involving data are most often best corrected in legacy (IIPS)

  7. ITCI (Intermediate to Colleague Import) • ITCI takes data from intermediate file, performs additional checks, and imports into Colleague • ITCI can be run in non-update and update mode • Additional errors could be generated in update mode that were not seen in non-update mode (as records are imported)
