  6. A. THE OBJECT OF LABOUR INSPECTION 1. Company (Act No. 7/1981) : 216.547 (Ministerial Decree No. 09 Year 2005) 2. Workers : 108,207 Million - Men : 67,462 Million - Women : 40,745 Million (data BPS Augusts 2010 )

  7. B. THE PERSONNEL OF LABOUR INSPECTION Qualification of Labour Inspector: - General labour inspector = 1.460 - Specialist labour inspector = 361 - Civil Cervant Investigators = 563 C. SETTLEMENT OF VIOLATIONS Year 2008 = 69 cases Year 2009 = 107 cases Year 2010 = 127 cases D. DATA OF INVESTIGATION

INVESTIGATION BY LABOUR INSPECTION • BOOK OF THE LAW OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE LAW (KUHAP) Act No. 8 Year 1981 : the authority to perform investigation also given to certain civil cervant, including labour inspector. • Act No. 3 Year 1951: Labour Inspector has the authority to perform Investigation.

PROBLEMS AND CHALLENGES • Numberandqualityof Labour Inspector and Civil Cervant Investigators not appropiate • Implementation in Decentralized Era still not optimal • Inadequate of the institution capacity and organization structure in Province and District offices • Limited budget for Inspection and Investigation • Insufficient of facilities for inspection such as office equipment, inspection tools and vehicle. • Inadequate system for reporting and information for labour inspection.
