  6. Bidder Qualification SurveyQualifications of Bidders Bidders will be required to meet minimum qualifications listed below. The GOLF COURSE ARCHITECT (GCA) will review all qualifications of bidders. The GCA may reject the bid of any bidder deemed unqualified. The bidder will be responsible for providing the qualification information to the GOLF COURSE ARCHITECT with the bid package. The qualification sheet located at the end of this section must be completed for the bid to be considered valid.

  7. Bidder Qualification SurveyMinimum Qualifications Each bidder will be a Certified Member of the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) and in good standing. Each bidder shall be regularly and continuously engaged in the business of golf course construction for not less than ten (10) years and shall have completed no less than six (6) eighteen (18) hole projects and six (6) complete renovation/restoration projects, or the equivalent, in the past eight (8) years. Documentation of such experience should be highlighted in the Bidder Qualification sheet in this document. Proof of completed work will be required by the GCA to verify the bidder’s experience, skill and financial standing. The bidder shall be licensed in the state of Virginia, and shall comply with applicable laws, regulations, rules and ordinances of local, state and federal agencies.

  8. Bidder Qualification SurveyQualifications of Bidders Each prospective General Contractor shall be required to submit, prior to bidding, a resume as to their qualifications, experience and ability to perform this specialized type of work as well as such additional information as the Owner and Designer shall require. Members of the GCBAA are preferred, especially Certified Members . Included in this information on pages 2-3 of the Bidder Qualifications shall be the names of individuals who meet the following qualifications: General Contractor shall employ directly a Superintendent for the duration of the Work who has spent the previous five (5) years of continuous experience or seven (7) years in the previous ten (10) years as the head Superintendent on at least four (4) golf course projects. General Contractor shall employ directly or as a subcontractor for the duration of the Work two (2) bulldozer Shaping Operators who have spent the previous five (5) years of continuous experience or seven (7) years in the previous ten (10) years doing golf course shaping from detailed contour plans and whose work is found to be acceptable to the Designer. Each shaping operator shall have worked on and completed at least five (5) different golf course shaping jobs.
