  2. Life Journal-1 • What are your plans for life after high school?

  3. Journal 2-Background • Tell us about your background. This could include family, pets, places you have lived, places you have traveled to, schools you have attended, etc.

  4. Journal 3-Favorite/Least Favorite English Activity • Describe an activity, book, writing assignment, etc. that you really enjoyed. Explain why you enjoyed it. • Describe an activity, book, writing assignment, etc. that you did not enjoy. What made it disagreeable to you?

  5. Journal 4-Hobbies • Tell us about hobbies, interests, sports, activities, clubs, etc. that interest you.

  6. 5-Favorite Memory • Describe your favorite memory. Where were you? How old were you? Who was there? What were the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and feelings?

  7. 6-Inspiration • Describe a person who inspires you (alive or deceased). Why does this person inspire you?

  8. 7-One Day • If you had the opportunity to spend one day with anyone (alive or deceased), who would you choose? Why would you choose this person? What would you do, and where would you go?

  9. 8-Last Meal • If you knew today was going to be your last day on earth, and you were told that you could have any meal for your “last meal,” what would the menu be and who would be at the meal?

  10. 9-Travel • If you could travel to any place on earth or in the universe for one day, where would go? Why would you choose this place?

  11. 10-Fear • What is your greatest fear in life? • Or • What are some small, petty, or funny fears that you have?

  12. 11-Words about You • At the end of your life, what do you hope people say about you? What do you hope to have accomplished?

  13. 12-Advice • What advice would you give to current freshmen about high school? What are important lessons that you have learned about friendship, school work, activities, etc.

  14. 13-Ability/Skill • If you could immediately have any ability or skill (realistic-not superhuman) that you do not have at the moment, what would it be? Why would you choose this?

  15. 14-Supernatural • Do you believe in the supernatural (ghosts, angels, psychics, etc.) Why or why not?

  16. 15-Supernatural Power • If you could have any supernatural power, what would you choose? Why would you choose this?

  17. 16-Lost Island • If you were lost on an island and could only have 5 items for the rest of your life, what would you bring? Why would you choose these items?

  20. 19-Prejudice, Discrimination, and Stereotypes • Why do you believe that prejudices, discrimination, and stereotypes still exist in all cultures around the world today?

  21. 20-Life Outlook • If God offered you the opportunity to see the events that would occur during the rest of your life, would you say yes or no? • Why or why not?

  22. 21-Redo • If God gave you the opportunity to redo one day, one mistake, one moment, would you go back in time and change the events? • Why or why not?

  23. 22-Pet Peeve • What is your biggest pet peeve? • Why does it bother you so much?

  24. 23-Nature • What is the most beautiful thing that you have ever witnessed in nature? • Where were you? • What were the sounds, sights, tastes, feelings, and smells?

  25. 24-Life Goals • Write down 5 life goals that you hope to accomplish.

  26. 25-Regret and Appreciation • If you were suddenly granted courage to apologize to anyone in your life and also say “Thank You” to anyone in your, who would you write to and what you say?

  27. 26-Appearance • Appearance vs Reality:  You have heard it said, "You can't judge a book by its cover."  However, appearance does impact us.  How?

  34. 33-Influential Person • Influential person:  Other than a member of your family, what one person has most influenced your life?  How?

  35. 34-Relationships • Relationships:  What is the most important element in a lasting relationship (either romantic or friendship)?

  36. 35-Perception • Perception:  If your best friend described you, what would s/he say?  Would you agree?  Explain.
