  3. God Created Life on Earth -1 • Given the time of the age of the universe, not even one protein can be formed by chance. • We have over 200 types of cells. Each type has billions of each. Each cell consists of billions of molecular machines working in coordination and harmony to make us breathe and think • Life CANNOT be evolved from non-life! • This is the first grave of naturalism! 10/31/2014 3

  4. God Created Life on Earth -2 • The average protein consists of about 400 amino acids arranged in specific sequence. Only left-handed amino acids are found in proteins. We have over 40,000 types of proteins in ONE cell! How could a single cell evolve by chance? Impossible! Therefore, life must have been created by the all-powerful and all-intelligent God, the Creator Jesus Christ. • “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 10/31/2014 4

Naturalistic Origin of Life Is Impossible-1 • Assume a typical virus consists of 100 amino acids • The number of ways to arrange is 100! = 10158 • Assume that these amino acids were just atoms • The number of atoms in the observable cosmos=1080 • Then only 1078 groups of 100 atoms can be formed • Assume the age of the universe were 30 billion years • 30 billion years ~ 1018 seconds • Assume the rate of shuffling were 109 per second • The no. of combinations: 1078x109x1018 = 10105 • The chance of the correct sequence=10105/10158=10-53 10/31/2014 5

Naturalistic Origin of Life Is Impossible-2 • Fred Hoyle (1981) estimated the chance of obtaining a functional enzyme is one part in 1020x2000 = 1040,000 • “A tornado going through a junkyard ended up in a 747!” • Morowitz (1968) estimated the naturalistic origin of life is 1 chance in 10100,000,000,000 • Coppedge (1973) gave evolutionists all concessions and he still came up with the chance formation of a 400-unit protein to be 1 chance in 10161 • Emile Borel (1965): 1 chance in 1015 is negligible on earth; 1 chance in 1050 is negligible on a cosmic scale • Therefore, life must have been created by God! 10/31/2014 6

Response to Discover (Nov 2010) • Finding amino acids in outer space does not imply life • Finding organic molecules does not imply life • Finding extrasolar planets does not imply life • Extreme temperatures kill any sort of life • Sizes of extrasolar planets are important • Distances of planets to the stars are important • We have no intelligent signals except our own • Immense light year distances make travel unlikely • Miller’s experiment has been debunked 30 years ago 10/31/2014 7
