  8. Starfish Early alert system Starfish is an early alert software program that allows faculty to send academic status updates to students.   9. Smarthinking Smarthinking is a 24-hour online tutoring service. Links in BrightSpace.

Drops To drop a course is to officially remove oneself from a course and its academic requirements. • Formal Drop • Via Self Service Banner or Online & Continuing Education Office • Drop Deadline • See Important Dates Non-Attendance does NOT imply a student’s intention to drop a course. Grades will reflect participation.

Books & Materials Books and materials for your course(s) are available for purchase from the NSU Wolf Shoppe(in person or online). • Buy • Rent • Reserve College Prep Program (CPP) and SDEAF grant recipients, please contact the Bookstore directly (605.626.2655) and ask for Carol Schumacher. ** Students who choose to purchase books elsewhere do so at their own risk. **

Important Dates • August 26th, 2019 • First day of class • September 5th, 2019 • Last day to drop and receive a full refund • September 6th, 2019 • Payment DUE • Withdrawal “W” grade assigned for dropped courses – NO REFUND • November 8th, 2019 • Last day to drop courses or withdraw from term
