  1. Buzzi Unicem USA Inc. Ulti-Grout ® Rapid Hardening Cementitious Grout, Formulated for the “Core Bore Process” Specified Products – Outstanding Results

  2. Buzzi Unicem USA Inc. Exclusive Manufacturer of Ultimax® Cement Ulti-Grout ® Description: Mixing: Ulti-Grout®is a rapid hardening, sulfate resistance, general purpose grout that is easily mixed for grouting at various consistencies, allowing flexibility in the methodology of reinserting cores. This rapid hardening material utilizes Qwix™, a hydraulic, cementitious mineral blend (ASTM C 219), high in calcium sulfate aluminum crystals. Qwix™, blended with portland cement produces a modified type of portland cement called Ultimax® Cement. Ultimax® Cement is a patented formula for a blended, hydraulic, non-shrink, high performance cement that exceeds the requirements of ASTM C-1157. Ulti-Grout® is a pre-blended, packaged, grouting material formulated for the coring process. Add 7 to 8 pints of potable water per bag, depending on the flow requirements in the field. Mix Ulti-Grout® with a paddle mixer for 3 to 5 minutes. Place grout immediately after mixing. For optimum Ulti-Grout® performance, grout temperature should be above 68º when placing. Product Data: Color:Gray Form:Powder Delivery:Available in 50 pound bags. Storage:Store as dry cement. Shelf Life: One year in original unopened pallets. Material Safety Data Sheets:Available upon request. Precautions:Hydraulic cement when dry is non-hazardous. When in contact with moisture (such as eyes or on skin) or when mixed with water to make grout, it becomes highly caustic and will burn the eyes or skin. Inhalation of dry portland cement can irritate the upper respiratory system. Benefits: High Early Strengths – Develops strength faster then portland based grouts by a factor of 50 to 1. Reduced In-Place-Costs – Flowability and self- leveling consistency of Ulti-Grout® requires no placing in lifts or consolidating by mechanical means. Fast Project Turn-Around - The rapid hardening properties of Ulti-Grout®allows for earlier, higher load carrying capability so roadways can be opened to traffic within one hour of placement. Typical Physical Properties: Strength: 1 Hour - 2660 psi. Min. 24 Hour - 6990 psi. Min. Reduced Project Costs –Ulti-Grout® fast setting, high strength properties eliminates the need for plating and overnight safety barriers. Set Time: Initial Set - 27 minutes. Final Set - 33 minutes. Specified Requirements – Ulti-Grout® can be formulated to meet a wide variety of project specific performance requirements including strength, set time, flow and thermal properties. Load Bearing: 30 to 60 minutes after final set. Length Change: 7 days - .016%.
