  3. Mindanaw: A Region in Constant Violent Conflicts • 4 Formal Peace Processes means 4 major violent conflicts in the country • 3 out of 4 are in Mindanaw GPH – MNLF GPH – MILF GPH – CPP/NPA/NDF Not to mention the informal yet violent conflicts on going presently…

  4. Making 100% the Peacebuilding Continuum Violent Conflict Stage Post Violent Conflict Stage Peace Talks Demobilization Confidence Building Measures 50 % 50 % Community Development Ceasefire Reconciliation/ Transitional Justice Peace Agreements

  5. Post Violent Conflict Stage Violent Conflict Stage 50 % 50 % Constituency Building Transparent Accountable Local Governance Partnership with Business Sector Social Enterprise Investments Security Sector Reform

The Other 50% :Demobilization, Community Development and Reconciliation • Creative Demobilization and Community Enterprise Development can be done primarily with business sector in partnership • Reconciliation/Transitional Justice can be facilitated effectively when “wounded parties” will be able to participate in wealth creation programs in the communities…

The Other 50% :Demobilization, Community Development and Reconciliation • Business/Social Enterprise is the potent tool to convert the negative energy of violent conflict to positive energy for wealth creation in social enterprise development • Business/Social Enterprise if coupled with Good Governance will jump start the real community development thus discouraging resurgence of violent conflict.

Some Notes on Business and Social Enterprise • Three bottomlines are the best foundations for lasting peace (doing good, doing well, doing right) • If executed well, armed groups will choose to demobilize, opportunity re-organize themselves as community of producers than remain as community of combatants
