WALT: Explain the key features of a wedding ceremony Identify the promises the couple make Christian Wedding ceremonies Take a look at the wedding vows on your desk Some of you have the vows from the Invention of lying and some of you have the vows from a traditional Christian marriage ceremony 1- Analyse your vows Look at: What the couple are being asked to do, Why they are getting married and the role of God in the ceremony 2- Find a pair with the alternate set of vows and discuss the differences in the vows 3- Fill in the vows part of your chart Explain what the Christian marriage vows expect the couple to do Success criteria:To achieve a C grade: You need to be able to name key features of a Christian wedding To achieve a B grade: You need to be able to explain wedding features To achieve an A grade: You need to be able to explain the role of God in a Christian wedding
