  4. Settling-in Process • Parents meeting and chance to meet your child’s class teacher. • Tour the department • Moving On Morning – 3rd July 9.30-10.30am • Transition visits with Pre-Schools • Parent meetings in the afternoons in September • Staggered entry

  5. Starting in September All Children start in September • Morning sessions: 8.45 a.m. – 12.50 p.m. on 6th and 7th September • Parent’s Meetings in the afternoons • 10th September: Autumn born in full time • 11th September: Spring born in full time • 12th September: Summer born in full time

  6. Day in the life of a Foundation Stage child • Welcome time and Register • Phonics • Child initiated/adult-led activities • Playtime • Child initiated/adult-led activities • Lunch time • … The School Day in prospectus

  8. Please note … • Absences • Medical Circumstances • Medicines and Inhalers • Hot meals • Named Uniform/Book bags • PE bags in Summer Term • Named Water bottles • Parking in Blythe Close

  9. First DayThursday 8th September • 8.45am come to Playground via Blythe Close • Line up on the playground on the first day. Following days come straight to the classroom door. • Bring a coat with a hood, book bag, water bottle and lunch • Encourage the children to carry their own equipment and put them away. • Collect from department via main playground at 12.45pm. Let us know if you will be late to pick up your child.

What to do next… • Complete Initial Meeting Form • Fill in application form and return this form to the office along with birth certificateasap • Let us know any medical issues. • Order uniform/book bag • Buy water bottle from school office • Let the school know of any change in contact details!
