  2. VIS-NIR: 256 element silicon diode array 260-1090 nm, 3.0 nm sampling, 8 nm FWHM NIR: 256 element InGaAs array 903-2217 nm, 5.0 nm sampling, 16 nm FWHM 16-bit system NIST traceable calibration Integrating sphere for cosine response Zeiss Monolithic Spectrometer

  3. Kipp and Zonen CG4pyrgeometer • Wavelength range: 4.5-42 μm • Simultaneous zenith and nadir viewing • Hemispheric FOV • Sampling rate: 1 Hz • Measured quantities: Upwelling and downwellingbroadband infrared irradiance [W m-2]

  4. Solar Spectral Flux Radiometer (SSFR) • Since the ATTREX mission in • early 2013 SSFR successfully participated in the 2013 SEAC4RS mission • 20 DC-8 science flights • Instrument returned in good shape • Post-mission calibration to be performed soon

  5. Solar Spectral Flux Radiometer (SSFR) • For the 2014 ATTREX mission • Pre-mission • Perform SSFR system functional check (mid to late Oct.) • Calibrate SSFR (angular, absolute, wavelength) (late Oct. to mid Nov.) • Integrate/test on Global Hawk

  6. Solar Spectral Flux Radiometer (SSFR) • Since the ATTREX mission in • early 2013 requests been made to modify SSFR light collector and CG4 mounting to nadir fairing • Currently major undertaking to remove/install fairing to access light collector and CG4 especially for field calibration • Reduce risk to AWAS inlet and line mounted to same fairing Fairing removed for SSFR cal
