  7. CNR operates several multi-parametric observing systems placed along the Italian coasts. Most of them transmit data in real time to the receiving stations.

  14. Italian Station Mario Zucchelli Zucchelli Station is located in Terra Victoria, Ross Sea. It has a surface of more than 2.000 m2. It is able to lodge up tp 100 persons and it has an airport on marine ice, operational until November, three helipads and a number of laboratories and automatic installations for scientific research and telecommunications.
