Posting Phase • Identify the type of position you are recruiting for • Create/Reclassify/Update or Review position description in UAKjobs (Staff) • Have draft faculty workload prepared (Faculty) • Create the posting • From PD (Staff) • From template (Faculty) • Use previous posting (useful for Non-PD positions) • Route posting through approvers, culminating with HR

Offer Phase • Posting Status – Candidate/Alternates Approved, Supervisor to Begin Hiring Proposal • Faculty/Exceptional Step • Two distinct stages • Stage 1 occurs prior to an official offer • Stage 2 occurs after offer is accepted • Non-Exceptional Step/Promotion • Completed after offer is accepted • Promotion (see BOR Regulation 04.05.043.B.5)

Who should have an account? • NR/XR employees should have an Employee account at minimum to access their position • Department Contacts; cost center clerks, admin assistants, and admin support for recruitments • Approvers; such as supervisors, directors, faculty chairs, and deans (depending upon departmental structure)

  12. Define Users • Department Contact • Person responsible for attaching additional documents, updating applicant statuses, and updating posting statuses. • Usually the PPA/CCC • Supervisor • Direct supervisor for the position (not a lead) • Faculty department chair (adjuncts) • Dean (faculty)

  13. Define Users • Approver 1, 2, 3 • Additional approvers beyond the Supervisor • Directors/Deans • Do NOT relist the Supervisor on this page • Final Candidate(s) and Alternate(s) Approver • Last person beyond supervisor who must approve the candidate(s)/alternate(s) before submitting to HR.

  14. Define Users • Guest User • Posting specific account used by search committee members • Posting data and applicant materials are read-only • Cannot update statuses
