Definition of vocabulary • Relative dating- to determine weather an object event is older or younger than objects or events • Super position- that younger layers lie above older layers in an disturbed rock layer sequence • Geologic column- is an ideal sequence of rock layers that contain all fossil are arranged from younger to older • Unconformity- is a surface that represents a missing part of the geologic column
