  7. You can do it! • Start small and keep it simple • Share the wealth • Schedule social media time • Don’t reinvent the wheel (or the news) • Keep it fresh • Experiment • Take a pulse

  8. The good news…we are succeeding!

Challenges • Don’t know our audience as well as we could • No silver bullet—no one communication tool reaches all members • We end up posting on Facebook, sending to Yahoo group and using blast e-mail • Huge number of alumni not engaged in club at all • How do we address their WIIFM (What’s in it for me)? • Requires effort to keep social media site content fresh
