  3. Key focus areas • Emphasis is on rolling out the application to the remaining caches • Increase our capacity for user support • Phase 2 ROSS-ICBS interface work • FBMS enhancements to ICBS

  4. Rolling out the application • Six caches are operational • Some of the remaining caches are more complex, and will need more prep work with team to make sure system works well for them. For example: • Remote returns/refurb operations • Larger and more spread-out footprint

  5. Rolling out the application (cont.) • FBMS is an issue for the BLM caches • Lack of FS or BLM network will be an issue for the Alaska State Cache (SFS) • Plan to bring in outside consultant for best approach (to connect their WLAN to NITC) • Plan to send SME & Wireless Team reps to LaGrande’s new facility • To design new WLAN • Consult with Howard on zones/locations

  6. Increase capacity for support • Getting all team SMEs more proficient in the system • Training more Helpdesk personnel on ICBS • Two were at NCK during their “go live” week • Knowledge transfer from the Sterling Team to Helpdesk • Developing quick reference guides for users • Investigating software for remote scan gun upgrades, imaging and diagnostics

  7. Phase 2 ROSS-ICBS interface work • Will encompass: • Incidents, orders, issues, etc. • Resuming design/development work with ROSS Team this month • Testing and deployment this fall/winter • Deployment timing dependant on ICBS and ROSS schedules

  8. FBMS enhancements to ICBS • Required for BLM caches to go live • Work will include: • Changes to screens and reports • Interface with FBMS for file transfers • Preliminary design has been completed • Need BLM funding to begin development - hopefully in April

  9. Implementation progress & plans Implementation Strategy • Pre-Implementation (1-5 days): Consultation phase-Sterling and Gov’t Team • Data Collection (2 weeks): Cache responsibility • Data load and test (3-4 days): Sterling responsibility with cache’s input • Training and Go-live (2 weeks): Gov’t and Sterling team

  10. Issues • System Security Plan requirements • Annual security training on file for each user • Signed Rules of Behavior agreement for each user • Implement a scan gun checkout system • Change board • Working on agency Software Configuration Mgt. Plan • Once finalized, will enlist Steering Group to recruit members and launch the board
