What If? • Lived in Ontario, Canada where his father was an accountant and mom was a jazz musician. • Shortly after, his parents lost their jobs and his family deteriorated. • Moved to a suburb of Toronto where his entire family worked security and janitorial jobs at a wheel factory (he had to work 8 hours a day on top of going to school). • He, his parents, and his 3 older siblings lived in in a VW camper van for years. • He gave comedy a shot, but was rejected on several occasions.

  5. Jim Carrey • After school, Jim decided to go out on his own and pursue comedy, which led to acting. • Despite his setbacks, he was able to land a spot on the show “Living Color,” a big show at the time. • He has acted in 37 movies since 1980 and has received many awards, including two Golden Globes.
