  3. VAUPEL • INTRODUCTION • Vaupel is a most competent and leading company in manufacturing of woven labels in the world of textile. • Vaupel was founded in 1839 Wuppertal Germany.

  4. VAUPEL(HISTORY) • HISTORY: • In 1940 vaupel manufactured Shuttle label machine and continued up to 1967. • In 1970 rapier, Sulzerruti machines were introduced with higher speed. • In 1984-1986 Air jet machines were manufactured.

VAUPEL(HISTORY) • In 1986 first electronic jacquard machine were introduced in CX series. • In 1992 Dornier was run with CX series jacquard with speed 650-700 ppm. • In 1996 vaupel introduced first label loom (Dornier & Staubli) with speed 1000ppm. • In 2003 vaupel introduced cutting system. • In 2011 vaupel introduced Air jet DSS sysetem with jacquard sampling machine.

  13. TECHNICAL DETAILS OF VAUPEL • Vaupel uses three types of technologies for labels. • Air jet System • Flexible Rapier System • Rigid Rapier System

  14. Air Jet In air jet weft is carried by highly compressed air From picking to receiving side. Vaupel Air jet labeling machine is highly productive than others. Air jet system Vaupel is in 2 series • DDS • E/FT

Air Jet 1- DSS: (Dornier Syncro Drive® ) The DDS series based on the Dornier Syncro Drive® leads into a new era of reliable, high productive and efficient label weaving based on the Air Jet technology. The Syncro Drive® was developed by Dornier were the base loom as well as the jacquard machine are individually driven by a servo motor.

  16. Air Jet 2- E/FT(Compact Drive system): E/FT series offers a Compact Drive® which combines a direct drive with a clutch and brake system. • Here jacquard machine is traditionally driven by a cardan shaft.

  17. Cardan Shaft • Cardan shaft is used in many devices esp, in jeeps, cars, etc. it is used in jacquard for separate drive.

Explanation of Technical Data • All the looms have 8 pre-winders, mean that we can use 8 different colors in weft. • Jaquard Machine: Sx(1408/1152) with JC7 In the above data 1408 is the total no of hooks. 1152 shows the no of body hooks. This implies 1408-1152= 258 Now 258 shows the no of selvedge hooks. • JC7 is the model of module for the jacquard. • Harness: SX (2688/2304) with JC7 have the same specs as explained BUT with more hooks. • Taffet: is the type of the cord. • Satin: is the type of the cord.

Explanation of Technical Data • Taffet: 6x1152 @ 211 mm : 3x2304 @ 422 mm this data shows 6 the repeat and 1152 is the no of body hooks, the other possibility is to half the no of repeats i.e. 6/2=3, and double the body hooks and that is 1152x2=2304 • OTHERS ARE THE CUTTING SYSTEMS WHICH ARE MOSTLY CONTROLLED BY MCD-4, AND MCS-2.
