Innovative Approaches to Prepare International Business Leaders History Created in 1989 by federal and provincial funds Operational budget (interest on invested initial funds) Works with advisory board (government, private companies, university) Our Mandate Maximizes interaction between exporters, future exporters and the university Provides students with hands-on experience abroad

Export Partnering Program (EPP) and Academic Partnering Program (APP) Pairing companies with students in international marketing classes for a period of 3 to 4 months Students prepare a marketing strategy for the target country; Students and companies test the strategy during the trade mission. Since 1996, - Trade mission: Mexico, Viet-nam, Hong Kong, Belgium, USA (Boston, Worcester, New York), France. - Over 200 students have participated in the program and - 37 students have participated in trade missions.

Export Partnering Program (EPP) and Academic Partnering Program (APP) EPP Target country and trade mission - USA (Boston, New-York) Financed by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agencies (ACOA) http://www.acoa.ca, and companies in cooperation with Industry Canada and Enterprises New-Brunswick APP Target country and trade mission - France Financed by companies and the Department of foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT); http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca - Students received scholarship to study in France - While in France, they help gather valuable information

Internships abroad Graduate students work abroad for a period of 3 to 4 months, paired with 2 companies / organizations - 1/3 of their time is spent with assigned companies - 2/3 of their time is allocated to the partner organisation Programs financing provided by: - Canadian heritage; http://www.pch.gc.ca   - Forum Francophone des Affaires (FFA); http://www.ffa-i.org - Canadian Museums Association; http://www.museums.ca Since 1996, interns have worked in Belgium, Benin, China, England, France, Hungary, Mexico, Morocco, Philippines, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Tunisia.

MBA Internships MBA students work abroad in a Canadian consulate or embassy for 3 to 4 months Students are paired with 2 Canadian companies - 1/3 of their time is spent with assigned companies - 2/3 of their time is allocated to the consulate or embassy Since 1996, interns have worked in Chicago, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Washington, Chicago, Guadalajara, Mexico, China and Barbados. Financed by Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agencies (ACOA). ( http://www.acoa.ca )

  9. EDC Program Students receive: - $3000 scholarships; - a paid work experience for 3 months at EDC office in Ottawa, working on international issues. Professors have access to: - guests speakers from EDC; - cases studies prepared by EDC. Financed by Export Development Canada (EDC) http://www.edc.ca

  10. Export Internship for Trade Graduates Designed for graduates in business administration that are hired by exporting companies For one year, 25% of wages assumed by the company and 75% by ACOA Financed by Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agencies (ACOA). ( http://www.acoa.ca )

International students internships Pairing international students with Canadian companies interested in doing business abroad. - Students receive incentive scholarship - Work with a company for 3 month - Develop marketing strategy - Help the company overcome cultural issues Selected for CBIE Innovative International Education Award Financed by Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) http://www.cbie.ca

Students mobility programs The Université de Moncton has partners in; - USA (Connecticut, Arkansas, Kentucky), - Mexico(Veracruzana, Colima, Queretaro), - Hungary, - France (Angers, Amiens), - Finland, - Sweden. Students abroad in partner institutions - One semester or one year of studies - Language immersion - Work related experience

Students mobility programs Program of North American Mobility in Higher Education - NAFTA Challenges of Accounting and Business Systems; - Alliance For the Promotion of Cross-Cultural, Foreign language and International Trade Skills for Business students utilizing technology; - North American Consortium for International Advancement Program of European Mobility in Higher Education - Canada-European Community Program for Co-operation in Higher Education and Training Financed by HRDC (http://www.hrdc-drhc.gc.ca)
