Main Control Board • The MCU is the main control module of the OSM6508. • The main control module is useful for the in-band and out-band management of a switch. • The MCU module has the following two working modes: • Main control mode: Acts as a main control module for the in-band and out-band management. • Standby mode: Acts as the hot backup module of main control module. Takes over the management of the switch when the main control module has a failure.
