  2. FLESHINGOUT YOUR FAITH Who would you consider to be a modern-day 21st century hero? What makes a hero? Who do you think was the ultimate hero for the Israelites in the Old Testament?

  3. FLESHINGOUT YOUR FAITH Trends in college freshmen 81 percent occasionally attend religious services. 40 percent are guided in everyday life by religious teachings. 40 percent “feel spirituality is a source of joy.” In 1995, 18,000 students were affiliated with Campus Crusade for Christ. That number has now grown to 55,000.

  5. FLESHINGOUT YOUR FAITH In what do people in our society place their faith? How do these things bring temporary satisfaction but not lasting hope?

  6. DISCUSSION GUIDE 1. List how Jesus is superior to Moses in the following verses: a. (Heb. 3:1) Jesus is the apostle and high priest of their confession of faith. b. (3:2-3) Moses was faithful to lead Israel, but Jesus was worthy of more glory.

  13. FLESHINGOUT YOUR FAITH 6. What is the context of (Psalm 95:7-11) that is quoted in (Hebrews 3:7-11)? Israel had rebelled against God by refusing to enter the Promised Land. The result was they would not enter the Promised Land but die in the wilderness.

  18. FLESHINGOUT YOUR FAITH 11. The Hebrew Christian’s were instructed to “encourage one another” to help any from falling, do you have anyone in your life holding you accountable for spiritual growth?

  19. FLESHINGOUT YOUR FAITH 12. What is the author of Hebrews referring to in “holding fast the beginning of assurance firm until the end?” (v. 14) We are promised an eternal life filled with reward for faithful service. Some will be rewarded more than others, because of their sacrificial service
