  5. Teams undertake different kinds of tasks • Individual Task • An individual task is one that can be completed by persons without any assistance. • The group of individuals are on a team but work on their own.

  6. Group Task • A task that requires multiple team members to do the same activity concurrently is a group task. • If a team does not have a clear understanding of roles then individual members end up doing the same tasks.

  7. Partitioned Task • Division of labour but the members are not required to work alongside each other • Email and shared documents or assembly line type of organization can have many individuals working towards the common vision through their division of labour.

  8. Team Task • Multiple individuals performing different tasks parallel to each other. There is both division of labour and concurrency. • This requires the most complex coordination between the team members with the tasks and is considered “real” teamwork.

Most of the time, those players aren’t willing to sacrifice for the greater good of the team. The funny thing is, in the end, their unwillingness to sacrifice only makes individual goals more difficult to achieve. One thing I believe to the fullest is that if you think and achieve as a team, the individual accolades will take care of themselves. Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships. I Can’t Accept Not Trying

Where does each individual stand on their level of commitment to the members and the task?
