  13. A little help from my friends Linear Functions Called for Clipping Create links of varying numbers of paper clips and hold each link so it hangs down along a yardstick. Make sure the “zero” on the yardstick is at the floor. Record your data in the chart below. Measure to the nearest 1/8th of an inch.

  14. MATH WORD WALL ASSIGNMENT • You must make a card for each of the following vocabulary words. Each card must have the following requirements: • The Word must be printed neatly and in large letters • The definition of the word must be neatly written • There must be a visual definition of the word • Each card must be checked before it can be added to the wall.

  15. We have already explored pictures and lists as a tool to problem solving. Now we will consider creating a matrix. Situation: Ian, Jarel, Ashley, and Jade (two married couples) each has a favorite sport. The sports are running, swimming, biking, and golfing. Use the clues to determine who likes which sport. Clue 1: Ian hates golf. He agrees with Mark Twain that golf is nothing but a good walk spoiled. Clue 2: Jarel can’t run around the block, and neither can his wife. Clue 3: Each woman’s favorite sport is featured in a triathlon. Clue 4: Ashley bought her husband a new bike for his birthday for use in his favorite sport.
