  5. Students Expecting something from a parent? (shoes, books, purse, lunch, etc.) Please come to the Main Office between classes and Mrs. Edwards will write you a pass to your next class.

  6. ASVAB Armed Services Vocational Assessment ASVAB will be administered on September 28 during periods 1-4 in the theater Sign up in the counseling office

  9. Latin Club Fall t-shirts must be ordered and paid for by Friday, September 3rd The design can be seen in any Latin teacher’s room T-shirts are $10

  10. Brookwood Broadcasting Club! Interested in being a part of the Brookwood Broadcasting Club? We are now affiliated with FBLA and our meetings coincide with their meeting schedule.

  11. Table Tennis Club The Table Tennis Club is open to any student who is interested in playing table tennis after school!

  12. Robotics Club The club will meet every Wednesday, if you’re interested in building and programming robots this club is for you! For additional info, see Mr. Farrell in B13 or Mrs. Friedman in B25

  13. Beta Club Beta Club Applications are available in Ms. Morrison’s room- B35 Eligible Betas must have a 90.0 overall average and a clean discipline record All applications must be completed and turned in to Ms. Morrison by Friday, September 3rd.

  14. Key Club! All students are welcome to join Key Club. There are no GPA requirements! Everyone is welcome to participate!

  15. PAWS Are you interested in joining a club that assists homeless pets into new families who want them & will care for them? Then join the new animal awareness group, PAWS! Pick up a survey from Mrs. Harris in T16 if you would like to join

  16. German Club! Regular meetings will be the second Wednesday of every month.

  19. Relay For Life Balfour is hosting a contest for the Gwinnett County school that has the most members sign up to their page! Just “like” gabalfour, sign up for courtesy reminders under the reminders tab, and post a comment about how cancer has affected your life! The contest ends October 16! www.facebook.com/gabalfour

Spanish students: Spanish Honor Society and Spanish Club will be joining together to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mexican Independence Day on Thursday, September 16 after school in the Maroon Gym Lobby. Join us for cake and music! Spanish Club (only paid members may attend). Please sign up with your Spanish teacher

  23. Drama Club If you would like to be in Drama Club, you need to pay your $5 dues to Mr. Lindahl in E1.

  29. Freshman Academic Team Open to all 9th graders! You do not have to sign up or have any previous experience to participate, just stop by and try it! There will be meetings every Friday in E27 from 2:30-4:30

  33. Lost Something? Lost and found for valuable items like jewelry, purses, electronics, etc., will be located in the 10th grade office, E24. Lost clothing and shoes will be kept in the Maroon Gym Lobby closet. You will need to get access from Mrs. McGahee to look for items there.

  39. Attention Senior Boys! Do you envy Ms. Brookwood for her crown and glory? Well now you can have your very own! Come and participate in Mr. Brookwood, featuring a Best Legs and Mr. Congeniality contest! Stop by the Dance Room (D6) for an entry form and more information! Contestants must be available for October 13th and 14th!

  40. 9th and 11th Graders: Need to take the PSAT? You must go to MealpayPlus.com to register and pay for the test. If a student does not have an account, it is very simple to register for a free account. The cost of the PSAT is $16 and must be paid for online at MealpayPlus.com. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Martin

  41. New Cell Phone & iPod Policy CELL PHONES are allowed until the 6:55 bell IPODS are allowed until the 7:15 bell and during extended lunches!
