Chap 2.3 – Birth of the american republic Write these notes in your notebook pg. 15 • What is the Sugar Act and Stamp Act? • What is “no taxation without representation?” • What is the Boston Massacre? • Two import taxes imposed on colonist by King George III to pay for two wars. • Colonist protest because they did not have a representative in Parliament. • One of the violent clashes between colonists and British soldiers that left 5 people dead.
