  1. To register your attendance you must tap in your UEL student ID card on the electronic card reader inside all classrooms and lecture theatres at the start of every lesson or your attendance will not be recorded. You can swipe in no earlier than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of your timetabled class. If you attend less than 75% of your timetabled classes you could face being withdrawn from your module/programme. You are expected to arrive to class on time. If you are late to class this should be an exception. Persistent and/or substantial lateness could result in you facing withdrawal from your module/programme. Faulty card reader? Contact IT Services: 020 8223 2468. Lost or Faulty ID card? Go to Student Services Attendance Policy

  2. You will receive a weekly update about your attendance from the end of Week 3 of Teaching and you can check your attendance record online via UEL Direct. You must carry your student ID card at all times. If you forget your student ID card you will be recorded as absent. It is not possible to take requests from Teaching staff to adjust your attendance record so please do not ask. If you do not attend the correct timetabled event you will be recorded as absent. Requests to swap seminar groups should be submitted to your School Helpdesk. You should notify your lecturer / Teaching staff member if you know in advance that you will be unable to attend an event from your module. You will still be recorded as absent. If you face withdrawal from your module or programmeyou will have the right to submit an appeal against this decision. You should continue to attend your classes until the outcome of your appeal is communicated to you. Important Information
