  4. Performance • Pointing~ 1’ RMS • Tracking (no guiding)~300sec • Limiting Mag. ~19 , Merr=0.1 (R-band, exptime=60sec)

  6. Limiting Magnitude of Field SA92 by Dr. Alfred Chen (AP8 ccd, R-band, exp60s )

  7. Instrumentation • CCD: AP-8/FLI IMG1024S (f.o.v.~10.6’x10.6’, 0.62” x 0.62”/pixel) • Filters: B/V/R/H-alpha/R Continuum • After April 2003… • New CCD: Princeton Instruments 1300B (f.o.v.~11’x11’, 0.52” x 0.52”/pixel) • New Filter Wheel: B/V/R/I/H-alpha/OIII/SII/R Continuum …14 filters

  8. Test Observation • Total Observing time~ 300hrs(2002/9-11) • Asteroid light curve • Asteroid discovery: Lulin1 (2002WT18) • X-ray binary, Open cluster, Supernovae • Engineering Time: Seeing condition, Pointing Model, Tracking, Guiding…

  9. Lulin Site • Seeing ~1.39 ” ,best seeing<1.0” (1993) • Sky background: 21.22 mag/arcsec^2 (B-band),20.72 mag/arcsec^2 (V-band) (1994)

  10. Time Allocation • TAC: 7 (NCUx5, NTHUx1, NCKUx1) • 4 TA/year: I(Jan.-Mar.), II(Apr.-Jun.), III(Jul.-Sep.), IV(Oct.-Dec.) • Observing Proposal Require (http://www.astro.ncu.edu.tw)
