  3. Accomplishments • New regional leaders appointed • David Jared, GDOT, Chair • Elisha Wright-Kehner, AHTD, Vice-Chair • Cindy Smith, MSDOT, Secretary (pending RAC appt.) • Region 2 By-laws revised • Ensured consistency with RAC By-laws • Final editing pending within two months

  4. Accomplishments (Cont.) • Southeast Transportation Consortium • Four synthesis studies underway or pending • Best Practices for Determining Value of Research Results (Ga. Tech) • Asphalt Surface Treatments for Pavement Preservation (Fla. Internat’l Univ.) • Water Quality Management at Construction Sites (Thompson Engineering) • Regional Implementation of Warm Mix Asphalt (Univ. of Kentucky, pending) • Implementation Rating Criteria (NCDOT) • Scale of 1 (didn’t work) to 10 (hits the ground)

Goals & Activities • Planning for 2012 RAC Summer Meeting • Program Committee formed • David Jared, Chair; Darryll Dockstader, Co-Chair • Committee: Michelle Owens, Elisha Wright-Kehner, Joe Crabtree, Mark Morvant, James Watkins • Monthly conference calls planned • Program to be finalized by week of March 4, 2013 (next STC meeting) • General TPF study seeking commitments • Field Analysis Procedures for Asphalt Mixtures Containing High-RAP Contents and/or RAS

Goals & Activities (Cont.) • Survey task force participation and document benefits • Goal is three Region 2 members on each task force to ensure coverage • Region 2 conference call presentations • Rotation of brief updates to add to value of conference calls • Regional UTC at University of Florida • Seeking input from SE states at-large on interests
