Characteristics to Look for in Wide Format Printer Ink    Wide format printers are typically considered to be printers with the capabilities of printing             at a width greater than 17 inches. These type printers are typically used for printing banners,                   posters, photographs and general signage that require a larger printing area. Desktop           printers print on individual sheets of paper, whereas wide format printers print text and               images on rolls of paper or other material. Printing at this size with screen printers is not                 economical, making these wide printers a popular choice.​Wide format printer ink comes in a             wide variety of types, opening up an entirely new world for creative printing.                                                                                              When shopping for wide format printer ink, one the most important characteristics to look               for is a high density of color. Purchasing a wide format printer can be a bit of an expense,                   so the last thing you want when printing a large banner is unattractive, dull graphics.
