  2. How Wildfires Occur? Wildfires occur by meadows and plains burning in the hot sun. They also occur by people not putting out their fire after they went camping.

  3. Famous Wildfires The most famous one was in 1935 in New York City. There were 212 deaths. There was one in Birmingham, AL in 1902. 115 people died in this church. There was a big wildfire in Canada in 1942 with 123 deaths. Most wildfires occur out in California!

  4. Wildfires Are a Type of Weather! Wildfires are a type of weather because they occur by the climate. Up above you can see the wildfire weather symbol.

  5. Wildfire Facts! An average of 1.2 million acres of U.S woodland burn everyday. More than 4 out of 5 wildfires are caused by people. Wildfires can occur any where! Human behavior such as smoking in a forest is a common sign of a forest fire.
