  2. Pilar Elemento estrutural vertical usado normalmente para receber os esforços verticais de uma edificação e transferi-los para outros elementos, como as fundações

  3. Viga É geralmente usada no sistema laje-viga-pilar para transferir os esforços verticais recebidos da laje para o pilar ou para transmitir uma carga concentrada, caso sirva de apoio a um pilar.

  4. Laje É o elemento estrutural de uma edificação responsável por transmitir as ações que nela chegam para as vigas que a sustentam, e destas para os pilares. As lajes também são elementos estruturais bidimensionais, caracterizadas por ter a espessura muito menor do que as outras duas dimensões
