  2. MERCURY The first planet ,next to the Sun ,is Mercury. Mercury is a chemical element with the symbol Hg (hydrargyrum).

  3. VENUS Venus is the second planet from the Sun, orbiting it every 224.7 Earth days.The name of Venus is “morning star” The planet is named after Venus, the Romangoddess of love and beauty. After the Moon, it is the brightest natural object in the night sky.

  4. EARTH Earth is the third planet from the Sun. It is between Venus and Mars.Itis sometimes referred to as the world, the Blue Planet,orby its Latin name, Terra. Earth formed approximately 4.5 billion years ago andlife appeared on its surface within one billion years. The planet is home to millions of species, including humans.

  5. MARS Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun in the Solar System. Named after the Romangod of war, Mars, it is often described as the "Red Planet“.

  6. JUPITER Jupiter is the biggest planet in Solar System.

  7. SATURN Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System, after Jupiter. Named after the Romangod Saturn. Saturn is special for its beautiful ring.

  8. URANUS Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun.. Uranus was the first planet discovered with a telescope.

  9. NEPTUNE Neptune is the eighth and farthest planet from the Sun in the Solar System. Named for the Roman god of the sea, it is the fourth-largest planet by diameter. Neptune has strong winds.

  10. PLUTO Pluto, is one of the small planets.
