CDMA / GSM RoamingStandards Status • PN-4925 TIA/EIA-41D Network Enhancement to support One-Way Roaming to GSM • Ballot resolution comment approve to explicitly indicate that IIF will use TR45-AHAG ESA • PN-4926 IIF Enhancements to support CDMA/GSM Two-Way Roaming • Modify volume 2 of PN-3-4857 (to be published as J-STD-038 Rev.A) • GSM subscribers SIM will contain both GSM and CDMA Authentication algorithms, e.g. A3/A8 and CAVE, respectively • PN-4927 IIF Enhancements to support One-Way Roaming to GSM All in TIA/3GPP2 Ballot Resolution Process THC

SRES (32 bits) -response a mobileshould provide to the challenge Kc (64 bits) -the mask that themobile will calculatefrom RAND to usefor voice privacy Authentication IS-41 RANDU (24 bits) -random number used by the mobile in it’s challenge response. AUTHU (18 bits) -response a mobileshould provide to the challenge SSD-B (64 bits) -the mask that themobile will calculatefrom RANDU to usefor voice privacy Can be placed in RAND parameter field GSM To IS-41 Inter-working Function Can be placed in Kc parameter field CDMA to GSM One-Way Roaming (via CAVE – devised by KDDI) v w A GSM Authentication Message contains 3 large parameters. RAND, SRES and KC. The IIF populates those fields with ANSI-41 RANDU, AUTHU, and SSD-B THC
