Strategic Planning: BackgroundOur History and What We Do • Celebrating 30 years!! • Formed in 1980 • RNAO Affiliate Status in1991 • Share information and are involved with the Board of Directors. • Represent a unique specialty within the nursing spectrum • Offer a range of professional resources and support to agencies such as RNAO, CNIA, eHealth Ontario, and the LHINs • Provide bursaries to support member professional development, education and research

Strategic Planning: CurrentOur Mission and Goals • To build a supportive community of nursing informaticians within Ontario through initiatives that support education, research and practice • To promote awareness and value of nursing data, information management and the use of technology for the provision of high quality, cost-effective health care.  • To provide a forum for nursing and other professionals to communicate and disseminate current developments in health-care informatics
