  16. شامِ عاشور سے، شامُ کوفہ تلکمیں نے مانگا نہیں، ہے خراجِ فدک Shaam-e-Ashoor se, Shaam-o-Kufatalak Mein ne maanganahin, haikhiraj-e-Fadak From the eve of Ashura, to Damascus and Kufa I never asked for my rights of Fadak

  17. میری چادر سے ہے، میری ماں کا سکوں، سن لے ظالم جہاں Merichaadar se hai, merimaan ka sukoon, sun le zalimjahan In my veil and shroud, is my mother’s tranquility, listen O cruel world

  19. باباجاں یہ تیرا، آخری تھا بیاںتیری چادر بچائے گا غازی جواں Babajaan ye tera, akhrithabayan Teri chadarbacha’eyga Ghazi jawan Dear Father these were your last words Young Warrior (Abbas) shall be the savior of your shroud

  20. مرگیا باوفا، چھن گئی ہے ردا، کہتی ہیں بیبیاں Mar gayaba-wafa, chhingayihairida, kehtihainbibiyan Alas the faithful has departed, the shroud has been snatched, lament all the women

  22. رک نہ پایا میرے، باوفا کا وہ سر نوکِ نیزہ سے آنے، لگا خاک پر Ruknapayameray, ba-wafa ka wohsar Nok-e-naiza se aane, lagakhak par The head of the faithful could not bear it any longer It started falling from the spear to the earth

  23. بہن کو دربدر، دیکھ کر ننگے سر، سہ نہ پایا جواں Behan kodarbadar, dekhkarnangaysar, sehnapayajawan Seeing his sister wandering homeless, and unveiled, he could no longer endure
