  1. Hello, I am Andrew Brown and I am the PT of History at Craigie High School Dundee. • Craigie High School has a roll of 850 pupils.

  2. Warning! Although I have thought things through and think I have everything in place. After 20 years in teaching I know that there will be many changes before I would consider I have got Scottish Studies and in particular the SIF down to a well run and successful award which Craigie pupils are achieving.

  3. The master plan! We have targeted this years S3. However I have some S6 with far too much time on their hands also! At Craigie High School we have vertical registration which means roughly about 4 S3 within each registration class. Each registration class will have a mentor which this year will be a teacher. In the future we are hoping that a senior pupil will act as the mentor but they will have had to have completed the Scottish Studies Award previously. Each candidate will be issued with the following booklet which acts as a guide for the candidate to work through with help from their mentor if necessary. Once the booklet and the SIF have been completed they will be assessed by myself and the mentor before being presented to SQA.

  4. This page makes sure that the candidate has studied the relevant areas to be considered for a Scottish Studies Award.

  5. 1.1 Broadening their knowledge 1.2 Identify activities to help them achieve their aim 1.3 identify sources of information 1.4 researching and selecting information
