  1. Dear Mrs.Werley, We learned a lot about space and it was a lot of fun .Mars has 2 tiny moons Probos and Deimos. It is full of gases. It is warm. It has lots of rocks. Mars has two moons they are not round. They look like ovals.Their names are Probos and Deimos. Mars was named after the Roman god of war. It is 227.8 km from the sun. There are 687 days in a year. Years ago,when large moons formed their materials formed evenly and made them round. The moons of Mars are so small that they don’t have enough gravity to be round. In diameter it is 6787 [km]. In days it is 1,026 .The north and south poles on Mars are a lot like the polar regions on Earth . They are the coldest places on the planet. The temperatures in the winter can drop to 150 C or about 238 f. Both poles have ice caps that are mostly made of water ice. The ice caps get bigger and smaller as the seasons on Mars change.
