  2. About Katt Industries n.v. Katt Industries was established in 1992, in Brussels, Belgium. Initially specialized in Wood Finishes, the company was mainly active in the Gulf Area of the Middle East. After positive feedback from wood finishes in the Industrial sector, Katt Industries launched a new range of decorative finishes based on metallic powders dedicated to professional end-users. Recently, Katt Industries n.v. developed a unique Architectural range for mineral surfaces and developed a specific range of products dedicated to contractors, architects, project managers, construction material resellers, etc.

  3. Fusion Coloring The market requirement to uniformly color exposed aggregate concrete, led to years of research and on-site trials. Katt Industries created a unique, environmentally-friendly suite of coloring products and systems. Further developments addressed various technical difficulties encountered in coloring concrete in a cost-effective, practical and industrial way; thereby allowing the usage of new, bold and natural decorative effects.

  5. Katt Fusion Colors - Features • Suitable coloring technique for commonly-used construction materials (precast and exposed aggregate concrete, GRC, etc.) • Enlarged design possibilities. KattFusion Colors go beyond the usual beige and grey concrete colors, and enable the addition of decorative shadows, additional hues, special effects, etc. • Economically cheaper than integrating pigment additives into the production process. • Highly resistant to harsh climatic conditions as opposed to common organic paints. This is mainly due to the unique pigments and reactive properties of KattFusion Colors.

  6. Katt Fusion Colors - Applications Katt Fusion Colors can be applied to any mineral surface such as: precast, exposed aggregate, GRC, artificial stones, GRG, etc. However, it is important to note that the optical properties of a surface’s texture affects color perception.

  7. Katt Fusion Colors - Application Methods KattFusion Colors can be applied by spray, paint roller or brush. The material needs to be applied at temperatures above 5°C, and during hot conditions, it should be applied at cooler times during the day. Application should be avoided when the surface is hot or exposed to direct sunlight or during intense wind conditions.

This provides a protection that lasts for decades. KattFusion Colors are environmentally-friendly, sustainable, green products, with zero emission VOC, containing no organic solvents, using reactive penetrant colors and are non-off gassing. Their exclusive formulation changes colors of substrates without altering surface texture. Katt Fusion Colors “Petrify” fuse by binding to any silicates within the substrate, forming a micro-crystalline structure and a breathable finish. This forms a permanent chemical bond, fused insoluble compound of color, becoming an integral part of concrete - mineral surfaces (natural stone, marble, GRC, brick, etc.). Unlike a coating, Katt Fusion Colors do not form a film on the substrate, hence the colors will not chip, crack, fade, or peel, as with traditional paints or other surface application products.
