  1. Oceanic Adventure to Avoid Cruise the Oceans

  2. Thousands of Cruises Per Year • There are thousands of cruise destinations across the globe, including North America, Europe and the Caribbean. • Cruise lines include, Disney Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Holland America Line, P&O and many more.

  3. Is Cruising Safe • Of course accident happen, but millions of cruise passengers traverse the seas without hiccup or hitch. • Statistically you are more likely to die from being stuck by lightening than die on a cruise ship.

  4. Choppy Waters • Due to the large size of your typical cruise ship, you are not likely to experience much in the way of choppy waters. • There are some known destinations which are commonly avoided if at all possible.

  5. Ocean Crossing • When out in the open ocean, there is little protection from land masse; therefore typically transatlantic crossings can become quite choppy at particular times of the year.

  6. Asia • Asian waters are prone to natural disasters including typhoons, earthquakes and rarely, but can happen tsunamis. • Peak typhoon season – mid May to August.

  7. Africa • Africa has very little in the way of cruises, but any itineraries including the southern peninsula can experience very rough and choppy waters.

  8. North America • When sailing to the areas around Whittier, Anchorage and Sward, these waters tend to be very choppy. The are less protected by land masse the Gulf of Alaska is a particularly rough area.
