MPOBC/Phase III BOLC Word Picture Graduates of the Military Police Officer Basic Course possess the technical and tactical skills, physical fitness and leadership qualities required to successfully lead platoons. They are familiar with the five functions of the MP Corps and are trained on the most critical tasks required of a platoon leader. These officers demonstrate a thorough understanding of and willingness to live by the Army values and a firm grasp of the attributes, skills, and actions that form the foundation of a competent and confident leader. 10. BOLC II MISSION To develop competent, confident and adaptable Lieutenants, grounded in warrior tasks, able to lead Soldiers in the contemporary operational environment. Endstate: An Officer who is trained in warrior tasks and the warrior Battle Drills, who is self-aware and adaptable; an Officer who will not accept defeat and will never quit, who demonstrate the characteristics of an Army leader while living the Army Values; and who embodies the warrior ethos.
