  2. Playing an Alice World Click the play button on the standard Alice interface to play the current world. Play button

  3. The World Running Window The world will play in a World Running window appearing over the standard Alice Interface.

  5. The World Running Window The World Running window has viewer controls at the top of the window.

  6. The World Running Window They include: • Speed Slider control • Pause button • Resume button • Restart button • Stop button • Take Picture button

  7. The World Running Window Speed Slider control Used to speed up the world during testing and development

  8. The World Running Window Pause button Will pause the playing world, like the pause button on a CD player

  9. The World Running Window Resume button Will continue playing the world from where it paused

  10. The World Running Window Restart button Will restart the world from the beginning

  11. The World Running Window Stop button will stop the world from playing and return you to the standard Alice interface

  12. The World Running Window Take Picture button Used to capture an image of currently playing world

  13. The World Running Window Take Picture button The image file name and location are preset on the preferences tab on Alice’s file menu

  14. The World Running Window Take Picture button The defaults are: Filename: capture00.jpg Location: desktop

  15. The World Running Window A dialog window will appear to show you the saved file’s name and location The defaults are: Filename: capture00.jpg Location: desktop
