  1. ZONE TEAM TRAINING ZONE 20B Saturday , 24th September 2011 - Istanbul

  2. Dr. Ahmes Ghabrial Istanbul 24 September 2011 Programs for Non – Pilot Districts & Clubs by Dr. Ahmes Ghabrial ARRFC Zone 20B

  3. 1- Pilot Districts are 100 districts selected by the Trustees of the Rotary Foundation, from 1st July 2010 till 30 June 2013. 2- The plan that was given to those districts was to reflect the desires & interests of Rotarians world wide. 3- It is simple, flexible, & simplifies foundation programs.

  4. Of course the other districts did not stop working with their projects. I think for non pilot districts we have the year 2011-2013 to work as previously.

  5. * I suggest the programs for non Pilot Districts & their clubs in those 2 years include: • 1- Support Polio Eradication locally or worldwide & (EREY). • 2- Support the foundation • A- annual Program Fund. • B- Permanent. • 3- Try to work well with fundraising

  6. 4- Try to work with what the future vision 6 goals are after, as actually most districts & their clubs work on these goals. • Peace & conflict prevention (Rotary peace fellows). • Disease prevention. • Water & Sanitation. • Maternal & child care. • Basic Education & Literacy. • Economic & community development

  7. 5- Either support financing their projects locally, through fundraising, or with the help of DDF or outside clubs & districts. 6- In that case can have a matching grant taking into consideration the timing for the application.

  8. 7- We have Education & Humanitarian Match Grants. • 8- Educational Matching Grants: • Ambassadorial Scholarships (1 year study or training for 1 academic year • Rotary centers for International studies (Rotoary peace centers) there are 6 Rotary peace centers in partnership with 7 universities. • GSE (Group Study Exchange). • 9- Humanitarian Grant Programs • District simplified grants • 1st July to 31 March

  9. 10- Matching Grants Foundation 0.5$ for each 1.0$ 1.0 $ for each 1.0$ from DDF 5000 – 25000 $ Competitive MG 25000 – 200000 $ Completed by 1st August Considered by the foundation semi annually Considered in the oct. meeting Completed by 15 Dec. Considered at the April meeting

  10. Thank you So Much Dr. Ahmes Ghabrial ARRFC Zone 20B
