  1. Worldwide Inventories

  2. Worldwide Inventories • DoDM 4140.01-M-V11 Management of Intensively Managed and Tracked Items (Draft), contains Inventory Requirements • Classified and Sensitive and NWRM Items • Recurring Inventory Schedule (Annual/Semi-annual) • Also requires Worldwide Inventories be accomplished • AF expects additional Inventory Requirement for NWRM, Classified and Sensitive items • Out-of Cycle (Special); Lost/unaccounted items • Avoid “casually” writing-off assets • NWRM will only be in AF control • No current Air Force Policy Processes • Will develop as we stand-up our Positive Inventory Control functions

  3. Worldwide Inventories • What about items in DLA owned warehouses • Are there defined policy/processes? • AFMCR 67-9 defined AF processes; obsolete and no longer available • Who do we contact? What costs are involved? • Quick turn-around will be required • Guidelines for implementation will have to be developed • Prevent Item Managers from requesting worldwide inventory without sufficient justification • Way ahead to develop standardized process • Suggestions: IPT, teleconferences
