Austin אפרת וצוות מורות יקרות! אתן בארץ ואני כבר מתגעגעת... עובדה שיכולה להעיד על הקשר העמוק וקירוב הלבבות שנוצר בעקבות הביקור שלכן באוסטין טקסס. אין ברשותי מספיק מילים על מנת להביע את הערכתי ותודתי לעבודת הקודש (כן כן עבודת קודש) שאתן עושות בשליחות מדינת ישראל ולמענה. צוות המורים של הגיל הרך באוסטין זכה למפגש מרתק עם החומר האנושי הישראלי, החם והמקצועי, בערב מהנה מאין כמותו. דמעות עמדו בעיני (ללא הגזמה) בשעה שראיתי איך 70 אנשי צוות עומדים על הרגליים עם חיוך ואור בעיניים ורוקדים לצלילי מוסיקת חג סוחפת. מרבית המשתתפים בסדנה לא יודעים עברית ולא מכירים את השירים שנוגנו ובכל זאת הצלחתן בעזרת השפה הבינלאומית של המוסיקה לדבר לכולם ולחדור ללב כולם. חגיגת החנוכה נמשכה גם ביום השני לביקורכם. הפעם זכו גם ילדי הגנים שלנו להיות שותפים מלאים ופעילים. הבוקר התחיל במפגש שלכן עם ההורים והילדים בפתח בית הספר. זאת הייתה הזדמנות מצוינת להכיר לקהילה את צוות המורות מישראל ולספר בקצרה לכל מי שיתעניין מי ועל מההיא השותפות. במפגש עם הכיתות היה מרגש לראות את ילדי הגנים בשותפות מברכים את הילדים באמריקה. תודה אפרת על הרעיון והכנת הסרטון החשוב הזה. תודה גדולה גם מגיעה לך ולצוות המורות מישראל על הסדנה המרתקת עבור הילדים. הרשו לי לברך על הרצינות והמקצועיות הרבה אשר הושקעו בכל פעילות. האביזרים הנילויים שהבאתם כל הדרך מישראל במזוודה הוסיפו באופן משמעותי להעלאת הרמה של הפעילות. הדבר היחידי שאני מצרה עליו הוא שלא היה זמן רב יותר לילדים לחוות ולהתנסות בריקוד, מדע וספורט. התגובות של המורות לאחר הסדנה היו נלהבות. וחלקן אף מבקשות לקבל חומרים לכיתה שלהם על מנת שיוכלו להמשיך את הפעילות שהוצגה. הקשר עם הקהילה המשיך באותו היום בזמן מסיבת החנוכה לכל ילדי בית הספר והביקור בכיתות הנוספות באתר השני של בית ספרנו. אין לי ספק שהקהילה כולה נתרמה ונהנתה מהביקור שלכן אבל זה כאין וכאפס לעומת התגמול שקיבלו המורות המארחות כולל אני. קארין, אן דגנית, לוסי ואנוכי התחברנו אליכן באופן אישי. הקשר שנוצר, ללא ספק, יתרום באופן משמעותי ומעמיק לחיבור המקצועי בין הכיתות שלנו לכיתות שלכן. תקוותי היא שנוכל לייצר פעילות משותפת ותיעוד נרחב של העשייה גם בעתיד. מי יתן ויתאפשרו ביקורים נוספים כאלה אשר יחזקו את התדמית של ישראל ויגבירו את התמיכה של הקהילה היהודית בפעילות המבורכת של השותפות. מכל הלב באהבה דליה זיסמן - מורת כיתת הלויתן ורכזת יהדות
