  4. Superheat • Superheat is any heat added to completely saturated vapor that results in a rise in temperature (sensible heat change) of the gas.

  5. Superheat Diagram 60°F 76 psig = 45 °F 15 °F superheat Evaporator Superheat

  6. Total or System Superheat Compressor Suction line Temperature 60°F • Pumps refrigerant vapor only! • Divides low and high side. Superheat 15°F 76 psig = 45°F
